Huizar introduces motion in City Council

The efforts of National Preservation Partners to get the City Officials to recognize Broadway as a significant resource took a step in the right direction today when Councilmember Jose Huizar introduced a Motion to City Council that recognized Broadway and acknowledges the NPP Broadway Theatre Planning Project as a recently compiled resource of information that indicates the streets significance.

The Motions further instruct City Departments to research various issues and to report back to Council with their findings. NPP is excited for this efforts as it's the first effort of such kind in decades and could result in wide-spread City participation should the departments findings confirms such significance.
