About City Center Community Development

CCCD is run by a distinguished Board of Trustees and Officers who have extensive experience in the development and rehabilitation of affordable housing and commercial properties primarily for moderate-to-low income communities. One-third of the Corporation’s board is comprised of representatives of the low-income communities it serves. It is organized as a Community Housing Development Organization (“CHDO”) and, as such, is limited to business activities in the State of California. Our primary goals are to provide quality community development projects and for-sale affordable housing to the public, particularly low-moderate income and first-time home buyers. Our goal is to remove blight, create jobs and create catalytic projects that spurs additional growth to the area.

We have long-standing working relationships with companies in various industries including construction, finance, residential management, marketing, and sales which allow us to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to each of our projects.

With our comprehensive approach to problem solving we are able to remove development barriers and incentivizing municipalities and property owners to achieve a new generation of sustainable and livable communities that connect housing and employment with transportation and other infrastructure improvements.

CCCD Invests in Downtowns

All of our projects carry these high quality characteristics:

  • Restoring in-fill, under-utilized, land or historic / older buildings to productive use.
  • High density and high quality architectural design standards.
  • Implement green development standards that focus on using the latest sustainable building products and design practices such as low water landscaping, trash recycling, composting bins, outdoor space, bicycle storage, areas for recreational, social or cultural activities when possible.
  • Design projects to minimize conflicts over problems like noise, traffic, and parking.
  • Creating affordable for-sale housing options for local public safety officers, service workers, retail clerks, police, fire, teachers, and City workers that work within the community.
