ImageHistoric Theater Screen Saver raises awareness at National Trust Conference

In October of 2000, the National Trust for Historic Preservation held their annual preservation conference at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. National Preservation Partners decided that its conference focus would be on raising awareness of Downtown Los Angeles' historic resources and in particular the Broadway Theater and Entertainment District.

In this spirt, National Preservation Partners staffed an exhibit booth throughout the conference, complete with photos of the broadway theaters, information on the historic district, and our historic theater screen saver that was used to raise money and awareness of the cause of saving historic theaters. The screen saver was done with support from members from the League of Historic American Theaters sending in their best historic theater photographs and the best photos were chosen for the screen saver.
